Blessings of Service
I took the kids sledding on 12/29 and Nathan hurt his wrist pretty bad. It was swollen and we were afraid it was broken. Unfortunately we were in the process of changing insurance on Jan. 1 so we decided to keep icing it and hope it would get better. It was getting better day by day but was still pretty sore. Nathan loves the annual boyscout fundraiser they do here. It's a Christmas Tree pickup and it's the only time (that he and Bryan admit to....) that Nathan rides in the back of the truck while they drive around our neighborhood picking up trees. When they get a truck full they take them to a big semi that comes to the local elementary and put them in the truck to be recycled. We decided Nathan could go but would wear a wrist brace that we had. During some pretty heavy duty tree lifting Nathan felt a pop and all the pain in his wrist was gone. We were so grateful! Unfortunately, Bryan was helping lift a tree that the 3 boys in his truck couldn't lift and ended up throwing his back out. After a very painful massage today (by me) his back is doing much better.
